12/30/02 - I was perusing this site earlier today when I came across a link to this site. After being completely pissed off, I emailed them and had the e-mail returned because their box was over limit. I would like you to go there, read what they have to say, and then keep their box overflowing so as to keep their costs up so they will cease to exist.
God I love America, where everyone is free to have their own opinion and is free to express it.
Thank you for letting me express mine.
9/11/02 - "From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee"
I would just like to this time and space to honor all those who were affected by the tragedy of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the plane crash in Pennsylvania one year ago today.
There have been many things said about it and written more eloquently than I ever could. I just wanted to add my voice to the billions of others in offering their condolences to those that lost loved ones during the attacks and the rescue attempts that followed.
"I will gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. Because there is no doubt, I love this land, God Bless the U.S.A."
8/6/02 - "You can call on me brother, when you need a hand..."
I have updated the look and content of the Computer link page. Go there and take a look. Let me know if there are any other links I should have on there and more importantly if everything is visible on the page. If I need more room, I will create a second page for the links that are not on the screen.
At this point one more page won't make any difference.
No new news in the job search department. I have sent résumé's to a couple of places. The resume is still located over there to the bottom left. Don't hesitate to grab it and call me for an interview.
7/31/02 - "I guess that's why they call me, call me a working man"
As some of you may know I am currently in search of a new job. One of the contracts I was working on has been lost (through no fault of my own, thank you very much) and we are about to have 10 people downsized. I am in the group that is going to be let go (more than likely). So unless I become independently wealthy (or win the powerball) within the next 60 days, I need to find work. I have added a new link to the left hand panel over there so that if anyone would like to pass on my resume or this website to a prospective employer they will have immediate access to it.
I still plan on doing some mock websites to show off that talent as I know that this one is pretty lame. It's design is a solid one though if you look at the context of the site. If you want to know more about how I came up with it, e-mail me and I'll be happy to explain why I chose this format. I also plan on doing some Macromedia Shockwave and Flash stuff for the site also.
Anyway, you all have a nice day.
7/26/2002 - "Cause I'm a loser baby, So why don't you kill me..."
A big hearty "Thank you" goes out to Peter Howsen from across the pond for informing me that the e-mail link over to the left was broken. Sue me, I was getting tired and I do suffer from fat finger disease quite often. At least that's the story I am going to stick to this time.
Thanks again Peter!
I'll try to do some more updates to the site tonight.
7/24/2002 - "Cause I'm a loser baby, So why don't you kill me..."
OK, It's been way too long since I updated the site. I was busy doing other things and wanted to do some major updates anyways. At least that's what I am telling myself.
Actually I have been playing way to much Earth and Beyond and working on a lot of computers. My prediction is that E&B will be the Ever-crack killer that Westwood and EA want it to be....
That is as long as they fix all the bugs in less than 60 days. We'll see, what we shall see.
All of the links to the left should work. If they don't, send me an E-mail and I will get them fixed. I am going to start to try to put some effort into this whole web design thing and I will add links from here to the pages I create to show off what little talent I have.
Don't believe me? Ask Michael Maine, he'll tell you it's true.
5/16/02 - Just a quick note to let you know that I added a link to LinuxIso.com on the computer page. They have 35 different flavors of Linux for download (if you are into that sort of thing). Have fun and don't call me if you mess something up as I have no clue when it comes to Linux.
5/13/02 - "Get your motor running, Head out to the highway...."
So I got my motorcycle learners permit a couple of weeks ago. After all the work was done around here I finally got to go out riding on a street bike for the first time last weekend. My only regrets are that I didn't get my license earlier. Too much fun.
The "Star Wars Galaxies" MMORPG beta is getting ready to fire up. If you want to sign up you need to go here.
Still no word on the SP1 beta start date but it should be soon.
If I didn't already state it somewhere you can sign up for the "Never Winter Nights" beta here.
So that's it for today. E3 is coming up so we should have a ton of info in the next few days as to what games will be released within the next couple of years.
5/8/02 - "All I can do is speak my point of view, but it's not sane....."
No updates this weekend like I said I would. I helped put in an automatic sprinkler system all weekend and that was all I had time to do. We finally finished it up Monday night and I went to bed EARLY last night. Hopefully I will get around to something tonight but I am trying to get more sleep these days. If you hadn't noticed there is a new link on the computer page to infopackets which is a another newsletter with some pretty good info (especially for new users).
I haven't been playing the "Earth and Beyond" beta that much lately but there should have been a patch last night so I might play tonight and see if they have added anything new or just bug fixes.
The "Quicken" beta is still pretty young and I have to get more info put into that also. It looks good so far and it should help me get organized. That would accomplish a lot for me.
That's it for today
5/3/02 - "Everybody's working for the weekend....."
I didn't work on the Beta Update site like I said I was going to so that means I'll be working on it this weekend. At the very latest you see something on here no later than Monday. I did look around and load some graphics software to try out but didn't like any of them.
Let's just say that my "Photoshop skillz are not l33t!" (l33t = elite).
Oh well I'll play around with it some more and see what I can do...
One other thing, I moved the questions to the Archive section but you can still vote on what you would like to see here. Just go there and send me an email telling me which you prefer. Maybe one day I'll set up a poll so you don't have to email me.
5/2/02 - "Working in the coal mine going down down..."
Works gotten busy so I haven't done much to this site recently. I have however been building a new site that you will be able to preview in the next couple of days. Unless someone suggests something different I am going to be turning the site into a site about Beta Testing. I have some preliminary work done to the test pages, but it all needs to be cleaned up and I really want to try to give it a more professional look than this one.
If only I had been a graphics arts major.....
I do have some more links I need to add to the computer page but I am running late right now so you'll have to wait until tonight.
4/28/02 - "I don't want to work, I just want to bang on the drums all day"
Ok, Right now I have three choices for this web site:
1. Keep it the way it is
2. Turn it into a gaming / gamer web site
3. Turn it into a Beta testing information web site.
4. "Why are you asking me? Just leave me alone would ya!"
Anyway, send me an e-mail and help me decide. Or just pick number 4 and I'll quit asking...
4/24/01 - w00t! Yesterday was good day for me.
1. The e-mail problem was solved so I can now send e-mail to people. It was one of my settings in Outlook that was killing the e-mails from leaving. The routed e-mail problem was a figment of my imagination.
2. My daughter made The National Jr. Honor Society for her academic and athletic performance this year in school. I am so very happy.
I also added an Archives page to allow me to keep this page kind of short and sweet.
4/21/02 - Ok, the sites been messed up for a few days basically because I did what I said was going to do and formatted my drives. I still can't send e-mail to certain people and it seems that it might have something to do with their Internet providers blocking routed e-mail. If yours does, I cannot send you e-mail (or at least that's the way it seems right now).
All the links should be fixed and running properly and if you use the links at the bottom of the pages, they should not open new windows now.
4/15/02 - "Cause I'm the tax man. Yeah yeah I'm the Tax man yeah"
Ooooooh, the evil Tax Man cometh today. Did you get yours done? I did with a few hours to spare even. Of course it helps that people lied to me and told me that yesterday was the 15th. Oh well.
I am still having troubles with my outgoing mail but I may have a workaround for it soon. It's called format. Worse things have happened I guess.
4/14/02 - The site is going through a ton of changes right now and I am having some problems with my e-mail. I can get e-mail just fine but I am having problems replying to certain people. If you are waiting for a response from me. Give it a few days as I work out the troubles.
I am seriously considering switching this over to a game / gaming information site. We'll see what happens.
E-mail me with your suggestions for links that you think I should have on here and maybe I'll add them.
